(2 Corinthians 9:1–15)

Now concerning the collections that are made for the saints, as I have given order to the churches of Galatia, so do ye also.

On the first day of the week let every one of you put apart with himself, laying up what it shall well please him; that when I come, the collections be not then to be made.

And when I shall be with you, whomsoever you shall approve by letters, them will I send to carry your grace to Jerusalem.

And if it be meet that I also go, they shall go with me.

Paul’s Travel Plans

(Romans 15:23–33)

Now I will come to you, when I shall have passed through Macedonia. For I shall pass through Macedonia.

And with you perhaps I shall abide, or even spend the winter: that you may bring me on my way whithersoever I shall go.

For I will not see you now by the way, for I trust that I shall abide with you some time, if the Lord permit.

But I will tarry at Ephesus until Pentecost.

For a great door and evident is opened unto me: and many adversaries.

Timothy and Apollos

(Philippians 2:19–30)

Now if Timothy come, see that he be with you without fear, for he worketh the work of the Lord, as I also do.

Let no man therefore despise him, but conduct ye him on his way in peace: that he may come to me. For I look for him with the brethren.

And touching our brother Apollo, I give you to understand, that I much entreated him to come unto you with the brethren: and indeed it was not his will at all to come at this time. But he will come when he shall have leisure.

Concluding Exhortations

Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, do manfully, and be strengthened.

Let all your things be done in charity.

And I beseech you, brethren, you know the house of Stephanas, and of Fortunatus, and of Achaicus, that they are the firstfruits of Achaia, and have dedicated themselves to the ministry of the saints:

That you also be subject to such, and to every one that worketh with us, and laboureth.

And I rejoice in the presence of Stephanas, and Fortunatus, and Achaicus, because that which was wanting on your part, they have supplied.

For they have refreshed both my spirit and yours. Know them, therefore, that are such.

Signature and Final Greetings

(Colossians 4:15–18; 2 Thessalonians 3:16–18)

The churches of Asia salute you. Aquila and Priscilla salute you much in the Lord, with the church that is in their house, with whom I also lodge.

All the brethren salute you. Salute one another with a holy kiss.

If any man love not our Lord Jesus Christ, let him be anathema, maranatha.

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.

My charity be with you all in Christ Jesus. Amen.

Kollekte für die Heiligen

(2. Korinther 9,1-15)

Mit der Sammlung aber, welche für die Heiligen gehalten wird, machet es so, wie ich es für die Gemeinden von Galatien angeordnet habe.

Am ersten Tage der Woche lege ein jeder von euch bei sich zurück und spare auf, was ihm gut dünkt, damit er nicht erst, wenn ich komme, dann die Sammlung veranstaltet werde.

Wenn ich aber anwesend sein werde, so will ich diejenigen, welche ihr durch Briefe für tauglich erklärt, nach Jerusalem absenden, eure Gabe zu überbringen.

Wenn es wert ist, dass auch ich reise, so sollen sie mit mir reisen.

Persönliche Pläne

(Römer 15,23-33)

Ich will aber zu euch kommen, wenn ich Mazedonien durchreist habe; denn ich will Mazedonien durchreisen.

Bei euch aber werde ich vielleicht verweilen, oder sogar überwintern, damit ihr mir das Geleite gebet, wohin ich etwa gehe.

Ich will euch jetzt nämlich nicht im Vorbeigehen sehen, denn ich hoffe, einige Zeit bei euch zu verweilen, wenn der Herr es gestattet.

In Ephesus aber werde ich bis Pfingsten bleiben.

Denn eine große und weitausschauende Tür ist mir eröffnet, und der Widersacher sind viele.

(Philipper 2,19-30)

Wenn aber Timotheus kommt, so sehet zu, dass er ohne Furcht bei euch sei; denn er arbeitet am Werke des Herrn, wie auch ich.

Niemand also verachte ihn, geleitet ihn aber in Frieden, dass er zu mir komme; denn ich erwarte ihn mit den Brüdern.

Von dem Bruder Apollo aber tue ich euch kund, dass ich ihn dringend gebeten habe, mit den Brüdern zu euch zu kommen; und war es zwar sein Wille nicht, jetzt zu kommen, indes wird er kommen, wenn er Zeit haben wird.

Letzte Ermahnungen

Seid wachsam; stehet fest im Glauben; handelt mannhaft, und seid stark!

Alles, was ihr tuet, geschehe in Liebe!

Ich ermahne euch, Brüder! ihr kennet das Haus des Stephanas, des Fortunatus und des Achaikus, dass sie Erstlinge von Achaja sind und sich dem Dienste der Heiligen gewidmet haben;

ordnet auch ihr euch solchen unter, und allen, welche mitwirken und arbeiten.

Ich freue mich über die Anwesenheit des Stephanas, Fortunatus und Achaikus, denn, was eurerseits mangelte, haben diese ersetzt;

denn sie haben meinen Geist erquickt und den eurigen. Erkennet sie denn als solche an!

(Kolosser 4,15-18; 2. Thessalonicher 3,16-18)

Es grüßen euch die Gemeinden von Asien. Es grüßen euch vielmals im Herrn Aquila und Priscilla samt der Versammlung in ihrem Hause, bei welchen ich auch herberge.
