Praise the Lord from the heavens!

(Psalm 33:1-22)

Praise ye the Lord. Praise ye the Lord from the heauen: prayse ye him in the high places.

Prayse ye him, all ye his Angels: praise him, all his armie.

Prayse ye him, sunne and moone: prayse ye him all bright starres.

Prayse ye him, heauens of heauens, and waters, that be aboue the heauens.

Let them prayse the Name of the Lord: for he commanded, and they were created.

And he hath established them for euer and euer: he hath made an ordinance, which shall not passe.

Prayse ye the Lord from the earth, ye dragons and all depths:

Fire and hayle, snowe and vapours, stormie winde, which execute his worde:

Mountaines and all hils, fruitfull trees and all ceders:

Beasts and all cattell, creeping things and fethered foules:

Kings of the earth and all people, princes and all iudges of the worlde:

Yong men and maidens, also olde men and children:

Let them prayse the Name of the Lord: for his Name onely is to be exalted, and his prayse aboue the earth and the heauens.

For he hath exalted the horne of his people, which is a prayse for all his Saintes, euen for the children of Israel, a people that is neere vnto him. Prayse ye the Lord.

Lobt den HERRN aus den Himmeln!

(Psalm 33,1-22)

Alleluja! Lobet den Herrn vom Himmel her; lobet ihn in den Höhen!

Lobet ihn, alle seine Engel; lobet ihn, alle seine Heerscharen!

Lobet ihn, Sonne und Mond; lobet ihn, alle leuchtenden Sterne!

Lobet ihn, Himmel der Himmel; und alle Wasser, die über dem Himmel sind,

sollen den Namen des Herrn loben! Denn er sprach und sie sind geworden, er befahl und sie wurden geschaffen.

Er stellte sie hin auf immer und ewig, er gab ihnen ein Gesetz und es wird nicht vergehen.

Lobet den Herrn von der Erde her, ihr Ungeheuer und alle Tiefen!

Feuer, Hagel, Schnee, Eis, Sturmwind, die sein Wort ausrichten!

Ihr Berge und alle Hügel, ihr Fruchtbäume und alle Zedern!

Ihr wilden Tiere und alles Vieh, ihr Gewürm und gefiederte Vögel!

Ihr Könige der Erde und alle Völker, ihr Fürsten und alle Richter der Erde!

Jünglinge und Jungfrauen, jung und alt, sollen den Namen des Herrn loben;

denn erhaben ist sein Name allein!

Seine Herrlichkeit überragt Himmel und Erde; er hat das Horn seines Volkes erhöht, Lobpreis ziemt allen seinen Heiligen, den Söhnen Israel, dem Volke, das ihm nahe ist. Alleluja!
