- Kapitel 1 -

The two paths

(Matthew 5:3-12; Luke 6:20-23)

Blessed is the man that doeth not walke in the counsell of the wicked, nor stand in the way of sinners, nor sit in ye seate of the scornefull:

But his delite is in the Lawe of the Lord, and in his Lawe doeth he meditate day and night.

For he shall be like a tree planted by the riuers of waters, that will bring foorth her fruite in due season: whose leafe shall not fade: so whatsoeuer he shall doe, shall prosper.

The wicked are not so, but as the chaffe, which the winde driueth away.

Therefore the wicked shall not stande in the iudgement, nor sinners in the assemblie of the righteous.

For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous, and the way of the wicked shall perish.

Die zwei Pfade

(Matthäus 5,3-12; Lukas 6,20-23)

Glückselig der Mann, der nicht wandelt nach dem Rate der Bösen und auf dem Wege der Sünder nicht steht und nicht sitzt auf dem Stuhle des Verderbens,

sondern, der am Gesetze des Herrn seine Lust hat und das Gesetz desselben betrachtet Tag und Nacht!

Er ist wie ein Baum, der gepflanzt ist an Wasserbächen, der seine Frucht bringt zu seiner Zeit und dessen Laub nicht abfällt, und alles, was er tut, gelingt ihm wohl.

Nicht also die Gottlosen, nicht also; sondern sie sind wie Staub, den der Wind von der Erde aufweht.

darum werden die Gottlosen im Gerichte nicht bestehen und die Sünder nicht in der Gemeinde der Gerechten.

Denn der Herr kennt den Weg der Gerechten und der Pfad der Gottlosen führt ins Verderben.
