I lift up my eyes to the mountains

A SONG OF THE ASCENTS. I lift up my eyes to the hills, || From where does my help come?
2
My help [is] from YHWH, || Maker of the heavens and earth,
3
He does not permit your foot to be moved, || He who is preserving you does not slumber.
4
Behold, He does not slumber, nor sleep, || He who is preserving Israel.
5
YHWH [is] He who is preserving you, || YHWH [is] your shade on your right hand,
6
By day the sun does not strike you, || Nor the moon by night.
7
YHWH preserves you from all evil, || He preserves your soul.
8
YHWH preserves your going out and your coming in, || From now on—even for all time!

I will lift up my eyes to the hills. Where does my help come from?

My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth.

He will not allow your foot to be moved. He who keeps you will not slumber.
4
Behold, he who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.
5
The LORD is your keeper. The LORD is your shade on your right hand.
6
The sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night.
7
The LORD will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul.
8
The LORD will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forever more.
