- Kapitel 30 -

You have turned my mourning into dancing

1
A PSALM. A SONG OF THE DEDICATION OF THE HOUSE OF DAVID. I exalt You, O YHWH, || For You have drawn me up, || And have not let my enemies rejoice over me.
2
My God YHWH, I have cried to You, || And You heal me.
3
YHWH, You have brought up my soul from Sheol, || You have kept me alive, || From going down [to] the pit.
4
Sing praise to YHWH, you His saints, || And give thanks at the remembrance of His holiness,
5
Fora moment [is] in His anger, || Life [is] in His goodwill, || At evening remains weeping, and at morning singing.
6
And I have said in my ease, “I am not moved for all time.
7
O YHWH, in Your good pleasure, || You have caused strength to remain for my mountain,” || You have hidden Your face—I have been troubled.
8
To You, O YHWH, I call, || And to YHWH I make supplication.
9
“What gain [is] in my blood? In my going down to corruption? Does dust thank You? Does it declare Your truth?
10
Hear, O YHWH, and favor me, O YHWH, be a helper to me.”
11
You have turned my mourning to dancing for me, || You have loosed my sackcloth, || And gird me [with] joy.
12
So that glory praises You, and is not silent, || O YHWH, my God, I thank You for all time!

You have turned my mourning into dancing

1
I will extol you, LORD, for you have raised me up, and have not made my foes to rejoice over me.
2
LORD my God, I cried to you, and you have healed me.
3
LORD, you have brought up my soul from Sheol.(a) You have kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit.
4
Sing praise to the LORD, you saints of his. Give thanks to his holy name.
5
For his anger is but for a moment. His favor is for a lifetime. Weeping may stay for the night, but joy comes in the morning.
6
As for me, I said in my prosperity,I shall never be moved.”
7
You, LORD, when you favored me, made my mountain stand strong; but when you hid your face, I was troubled.
8
I cried to you, LORD. I made supplication to the Lord:
9
“What profit is there in my destruction, if I go down to the pit? Shall the dust praise you? Shall it declare your truth?
10
Hear, LORD, and have mercy on me. LORD, be my helper.”
11
You have turned my mourning into dancing for me. You have removed my sackcloth, and clothed me with gladness,
12
to the end that my heart may sing praise to you, and not be silent. LORD my God, I will give thanks to you forever!
