- Chapter 70 -

Make haste, O Lord, to help me

(Psalm 40:1-17; Psalm 141:1-10)
1
TO THE OVERSEER. BY DAVID. “TO CAUSE TO REMEMBER.” O God, [hurry] to deliver me, || O YHWH, hurry to help me.
2
Let them be ashamed and confounded || Who are seeking my soul, || Let them be turned backward and blush || Who are desiring my evil.
3
Let them turn back because of their shame, || Who are saying, “Aha, aha.”
4
Let all those seeking You rejoice and be glad in You, || And let those loving Your salvation || Continually say, “God is magnified.”
5
And I [am] poor and needy, O God, hurry to me, || You [are] my help and my deliverer, || O YHWH, do not linger!

Make haste, O Lord, to help me

(Psalm 40:1-17; Psalm 141:1-10)
1
Hurry, God, to deliver me. Come quickly to help me, LORD.
2
Let them be disappointed and confounded who seek my soul. Let those who desire my ruin be turned back in disgrace.
3
Let them be turned because of their shame who say, “Aha! Aha!”
4
Let all those who seek you rejoice and be glad in you. Let those who love your salvation continually say,Let God be exalted!”
5
But I am poor and needy. Come to me quickly, God. You are my help and my deliverer. LORD, don’t delay.
